Businesses have long recognized the benefits of team-building across functional areas. That is why some of the results from a recent survey conducted for CareerBuilder caught my attention.
This was very telling to me: The survey found that 43% of workers say their office or workplace is populated by distinct social groups or “cliques”, and that this dynamic has affected the workplace in a variety of ways, including feeling intimidated and having an impact on career progress.
